The Repton Village Society receives copies of all planning applications for Repton and Milton as part of a non-statutory planning consultation process by the South Derbyshire District Council, Civic Offices, Civic Way, Swadlincote,  Derbyshire  DE 11 0AH.    Website: www.south-derbys.gov.uk.  Telephone: 01283 221000. 

The Repton Parish Council reviews all the applications and gives its responses to the Planning Department of the SDDC. The Village Society attends the public meetings of the Parish Council, and it also makes its own written representations to the SDDC, as appropriate. 

The Parish Council meets monthly, except in August, in the Repton Village Hall at 7.30 p.m. on the second Monday of the month.  The chairman is Mr. John Shortt and the Council’s office (701309) at The Dales, in Askew Grove, is open on Mondays, 2-4 p.m., and Wednesdays, 4.40-6.30 p.m.

An informal report on sundry items from Parish Council meetings, “Repton Council Jottings”, is published in The Parish Magazine (monthly, delivered free to every household), which can also be read on-line at www.reptonchurch.org.uk.  This magazine (2000 copies circulated) is, in effect, a monthly newspaper for Repton, Milton, Foremark, Ingleby and Newton Solney.

The website contains an archive of all the magazines back to December 2002.
